Composer Madan Mohan sings the landmark ghazal from Hindi Film ‘Dastak’ (Producer: Rajendra Bedi). This track was recorded when Lata Mangeshkar was touring abroad and the producer could not wait for her return to record the song & then shoot on the sets. Ultimately, the song that went into the final print was sung by the Melody Queen and became a landmark composition for both the composer & the singer. Madan Mohan’s soulful voice did full justice with Majrooh Sultanpuri’s wonderful lyrics and one is left wondering as to why Madan Mohan-ji did not sing more songs…!
