kimberly - First off, your mix is really quiet. Why?, how? Is your master fader pulled down? If your master fader is at 0, are your other faders really low? Either way, Please Fix. Also, do you know how loud you're listening to playback? either through speakers or headphones. That output might have been cranked up, giving you a false sense of how loud your mix is.
Really, in my system I was hearing more noise then song, so that's a problem. Can you rebounce and put up a new version. What I heard sounded good bu there's so much hiss, I can't tell. But I'll try.
I like the loud kick, that's an interesting take on it. A loud kick gives the drums a real thuddy present influence on the song. You also managed to keep the cymbals relatively quiet, so I'm a fan of that. I like the vocal effects, which is a combination of reverb and your choice of volume for each sound. The bass fits in nice with the drums.
Overall, very solid effort. Just don't let the vocals lose center stage. Keep them loud and in front.
