all i used for the main part of my narration is the compressor/limiter plug in for pro tools that we have. the other effect i used for the echo-y part was a shallow, quick delay.. but for the compressor, here's the settings:

Comp/Limit:

Knee 0.0 dB
Attack 6.3ms
Gain 9.0 dB (although i think you should change this based on the amount of original signal you are compressing)
Ratio 5.3:1
Release 80 ms
Thresh -24.0 dB

The rolloff frequencies I think are kept the same as default (20 Hz and 20 KHz)
