Walter Really Good mix, the vocals are nice and upfront. And the drums sit very well within the mix, a few things though, the reverb is great on the vocals but the delay is a bit over kill and I can barely hear the bass. But overall It sounds really great. Good Job(;over 3 years ago

Reiko11 the mix was straight. the vocals sound like they got a flanger on them or something. good mixover 3 years ago
kylebeck Not a bad mix man. The acoustic gets lost behind the electric sometimes but not a bad mix though.over 3 years ago
Neal Schmitt The compression on the vocals is messing with the volumes. Instead of consistency, some lines pop out loud and some ines are pushed waaaaay back. That's the release time that needs to be adjusted. IMHO, the vocal are way too out in front. AS I turn up the volume of the mix, it rounds out nicely. That's a sure sign of heavy compression. REmember, listen at multiple volume levels to find a good compromise. The electric sticks out when there is jsut voice and acoustic. Did you pout a compressor on the master? Interesting ending with just eh "built to last" line. Good face at te end Is there a chorus effect on the voice? I likek how you went aggresive with the compression - should help you hear the processing in popular songs. The key then becomes to gauge when and where to use it. The compression on the drums seem pretty good - kick is big and boomy and the snare hits pretty aggressively. I dig 12/15over 3 years ago

Walter Good mix, i noticed you didn't really use reverb a whole lot, but the vocals were spectacular really balanced and didn't over power the lead vocal. Also you really had control over the overall volume of the lead vocal, noticed that through the song it was nice and consistent. I would have panned more with the guitars, and added some thicker reverb to it but I like the nice and close perspective you took with the song, well done davey jones well done(:over 3 years ago
Reiko11 The mix was good. like walter said the vocals nice and sat well in the mix. i would have added a little more reverb on the vocals though. the end of the song was a little off beat. other then that it was straight.over 3 years ago
Neal Schmitt Daveon You didn't fix the snares! (oops) This mix seems very polite. Nothing is offensively overbearing or wildly out of place. Everything seems to be in a good space. The background vocals are panned nicely to encircle the lead vox and the lead vox seems in a good space throughout the song. The harmonies you chose give the song a very laid back vibe. it is amazing how these little choices have big ramifications. The tambourine is panned wide - I like that! The ending drums are in time. The edit into the ending is obvious - there's some sounds that get cut off. And you left off the background vox -her vamping at the end doesn't make any sense without the back vox. But the drums are in time and your cool production trick of dropping out the kick drum is cool. I thought the guitar at the end was pretty cool. Try adding some reverb to that guitar but pan just the reverb to the opposite speaker! Mix is really good. I'm looking forward to hearing more of you mixes. 13/15over 3 years ago
