Neal Schmitt This is really a compelling story. Your introduction is great. The uncompressed/lightly compressed bass though is a bit distracting - doesn't really fit the mood for me. It's too bouncy. And it needs to be compressed. I like the idea of the solo bass though - pretty unique. When she's talking about how unfit her parents are - that's a great spot for a dramatic pause - that let's the listener really reflect on what they just heard. It's a vital part of these stories. Same thing with the baby aspirin story - the info just keeps coming and nothing settles. Your narrating tone, at times, seems odd. Not that you should be morose or depressed, but conscious and sympathetic of what she's talking about. the commercial music - Bette Midler and S&G - they're a bit much, a little over the top for me. That's my opinion though. The second half kinda wanders a bit. The first half moves the story along well but the second half has a lot of talking without as much focus. There's probably some snipping that could be done to tighten the last part. As to your ending - are you wanting the listeners to adopt kids? I'm a bit confused. You say "adopt people" - what are you meaning by this?almost 4 years ago

Casey Bryant I think this could be in a teen flick. It sounds like it would be for an 80's movie. The only thing that I really heard that you may want to fix is that there were a few places where things got off time. I think the drums should have been turned up just a hair. I think that if you turned those up, everything else would fit in together perfectly.about 4 years ago
funckmastakilla Im thinking you recorded bass and tamber... This is a far out teen flick. The instruments clash at times.about 4 years ago
Neal Schmitt There's some good stuff hidden in here. There's some performance issues and some arrangement issues. First, starting with the rhythm section, percussion and bass - they all need to be rock solid. Without a solid foundation, the rest will crumble. There's some pushing and pulling around the beat that's disconcerting. Second- arrangement of sounds. The overall idea of the piece is solid. However, sonic choices make or break songs. Each sound should compliment the other, from the lowest bass to the chimiest high frequency, each one part of the larger picture.about 4 years ago

Casey Bryant I think this is very calm and very Radiohead like. Again, I would turn the drums up a little. Other than the drums, I thought everything fit together very nice.about 4 years ago
Neal Schmitt I like the layers going on. It's very Nick. A little rhythm variation would be nice, either a moment where it's stripped down or a moment when it gets really crazy - just some movement to keep the interest. Otherwise, it builds nicely, with new sounds coming in and building tension. The subtle automation on the shaker is great. Some panning automation would be cool too. Every sound is moving up and down(based on the delay and frequency) so some side to side movement seems logical.about 4 years ago
